Aviation Security Training

Providing Everything You Need

GSAT

GSAT (General Security Awareness Training) under the UK Department for Transport (DfT) is a mandatory aviation security course for anyone who needs an airside identification pass and access to the Security Restricted Area (SRA) at UK airports. It’s designed to give airport workers a basic understanding of the threats to aviation, key security measures and procedures, and the role and responsibilities of staff in maintaining aviation security.

Completion of GSAT is a prerequisite before applying for an airport ID/pass, and the certificate is typically valid for several years (often five) before refresher training is needed. The training covers topics such as recognising threats, access control, screening, and escorting visitors, and must be delivered by a DfT-approved provider after a relevant background check.

To get this course you will need to visit our dedicated LMS portal, create an account and then choose GSAT from the course menu. Click the tab opposite.
